I've been doing a bunch more work on my art and poking around for a cintiq, which I may or may not get soon. Fingers crossed. Anyway, Imma try to upload more here for your viewing pleasure.

Haaa~ Well, I am a wee bit late in announcing this, but there was something I wanted to finish and upload before I did this journal. It's not quite done, and a week and a half have flown by; therefore, I have decided to put up the journal anyway.

I urge you to check it out, I am really excited on how this game is turning out. We are going at a fairly good pace, and (don't quote me on this) I think we could release a demo by summer. Of course this relies mainly on the expert at Toxin Games, I am just an co-author and artist. (mainly sketches and once I get used to Blender, I'll do some 3d modeling as well)

ONE MORE THING. I am a bit selfish and I've decided that I would like some comments on a journal. So, here's the deal: VISIT the game website, and the first person to comment about the correct number of scythes on the concept art drawing (it's under media) will get a free sketch drawn by me of (almost) anything you want. Just be reasonable about what you ask, and if it is something specific, please provide references. I will tone the sketch, and maybe if it's something I like, Ill do flat colors as well.

But I'm still feeling generous, and I'll give the slowpokes a chance. If the first comment is gone, make a constructive comment about any of my concept art on the grim website. (Nothing to fancy, I just won't accept things like "OMG, I liek it!!!) I will randomly choose one of the secondary comments after a week, and do a sketch for them too; same sketch rules apply. AMAZING! I know, right? Now quick, go visit that site! Haha, Nope. Too late folks, it's been a week. BUT! the first comment hasn't been taken, and I won't remove the journal till it is!

Sorry about that. I've been very busy, and I just started a new semester of college.(after getting a week break from the end of my summer classes) With that stuff taking a big chunk of my time, I have less for my art(not school assignments), and I am dedicating most of my drawing time to character sketches for a game my friend Kevin and I are making. A real game, not a lil flash one. If you would like more info look up Kevin at Toxin Games which he developed. We currently are in the initial stages, but are planning on creating a 15 or so hour first person shooter. Not just any FPS either, but a throwback to the classic FPS games we all started gaming with. You haven't? Well me neither, but I can assure you it will be great. And I would say i am more in the casual gaming range, while Kevin is is more advanced. Collaborated together, we can make a game that can be enjoyed by all!

And I guess I feel obligated to say this but HDH (the comic) has been shunted to the back of my organizational list. Sorry. BUT! The next teaser will be done soon, perhaps even with this weeks releases.

That's right, as an apology I have decided to submit something every day for a whole week! From Monday to Monday, you will be able to view new works of art right here. Excited? I AM!

Sorry, I thought I already edited this on Friday. Anyway, as you may have noticed, I stopped uploading art after 4 days. Main reason is that I found out that I had a really busy week ahead of me, right after I posted this journal. Me, being the genius I am, also went into this promise without a buffer. I decided that I don't want to upload art I don't think is finished, so I simply stopped. I am paying attention to deviant art more now, so I'll try and put something up one a week for your viewing pleasure.

Yeah I know I said I would submit more stuff, but im currently getting ready to move, and wonderfully enough, my baby died on me. More specificlly, my Window 7's bcdedit was corrupted and I couldn't restore it HOWEVER I has two pieces to submit once i finish installing Photoshop, and even a coupla sketches for my sketch blog. Along with that, I got a copy of Digging into wordpress and am learning how to design my own theme(hopefully)for my main website, NickSchmitt.com. And with that my websites will be updated. Oh and another teaser coming up for HDH. One week till semester starts.....

I'm kinda back. I guess. I only have 2 weeks of college left for this semester, so I will try to update much, much, MUCH more often.(once a month?!? I'm ashamed with myself ) I love drawing comics, and as some of you know, was planning on making on myself. I'm not sure how those will be released, but a buddy of mine has a great idea for a comic. More on that later, I guess. Nothing much to add except that I have another website to upload sketches to; will get that going when the semester ends as well. I just don't want all my little subscribers to regret following my art!
